Our unique team of fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons specializes in caring for people with the most severe orthopedic injuries, multiple fractures and injuries to other organ systems.

When every second counts, we get you right into surgery and use state-of-the-art equipment and surgical techniques to minimize blood loss and preserve function. Board-certified in traumatology, our surgeons are verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as part of the only Level I Trauma Center in Northern Connecticut. This designation means we have demonstrated excellence in caring for trauma victims and are committed to research and education.

Treating Complex Orthopedic Traumas

Traumatic orthopedic injuries can be life-changing and complex to treat, requiring long recoveries and extensive physical rehabilitation. Our orthopedic trauma surgeons use the Bone & Joint Institute’s collaborative model of care to help trauma victims heal as quickly as possible. We have all of the most experienced specialists to support the high level of care required, from vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, neurosurgeons and musculoskeletal radiologists to anesthesia pain specialists and highly skilled physical and occupational therapists. We do everything we possibly can to help people return to their normal lives and activities after a traumatic injury.
