Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute | Community Health Screenings

Hartford Hospital's Cancer Program periodically offers health screening sessions within the community.

Early detection exams are offered for breast, prostate and colon cancer. Lung cancer awareness information is also provided.

For information regarding upcoming screenings, please call 860.972.1105.

Please Note

  • Free prostate cancer early detection testing is specifically designed for men above age 40 who do not have a primary care physician.
  • Women eligible for these screening mammograms must have not had a mammogram or breast biopsy in the past year and do not have breast implants or a personal history of breast cancer. A base line mammogram is recommended for women between the ages of 35 and 39; annual mammograms for women 40 and over. Insurance will be billed for this service, so please bring your card. If a woman has no insurance, the cost will be covered by donated funds.
