Dr. Robinson is currently Chief Academic Officer at Hartford Hospital and the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Hartford Healthcare. He was Chief of the Dept. of Emergency Medicine at Hartford Hospital from 2015 to 2023. Dr. Robinson joined the Hartford Hospital Dept of EMS/Trauma in 1994. He served as the Medical Director for the LIFE STAR Program for 19 years, and the LIFE STAR Program Director for 13 years. He has led or served on numerous Hartford Hospital committees and he is currently President of the Medical Staff at Hartford Hospital.

Dr. Robinson earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Geisinger and earned a Masters in Healthcare Management from Harvard. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Association of Physician Leadership. He has led a number of national and international organizations and committees.
