About the Alliance

About Us

The Connecticut Nursing Research Alliance is a group of organizations that came together in 1997 to develop a network to support nurses and nursing students in evidence-based practice activities including nursing research and research utilization.

The Connecticut Nursing Research Alliance is a statewide consortium of nursing professionals representing academia and practice whose mission is to ignite the interest and foster passion for the scholarly work of nursing.

The mission statement is supported by the following the pillars:

  1. Advancement of Knowledge:
The nursing profession is a skillful art based on science, and supporting the advancement of nursing knowledge is the foundation of high quality care.

  2. Advancement of Practice:
This community strives to advance the professional practice of nursing and the health of our communities through the promotion of nursing research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.

  3. Innovation:
The Alliance champions innovation and translation of evidence into practice to improve outcomes.

  4. Dissemination:
The mission is realized through the creation of a forum, transcending where we practice, to disseminate the scholarly work of nurses.”
