Overview
Family Medicine has been considered a subdivision of internal medicine at Hartford Hospital. In creating a distinct department for Family Medicine, the hope is to foster communication and alignment between the inpatient care model and the ambulatory care model. With the recruitment of family physicians to our system, we continue to service the public and provide continuity to our referring providers who care for our patients in the hospital.
