eLearning Childbirth Education

InJoy eLearning

When in-person childbirth education classes are not possible, we have a solution - eLearning Childbirth Education!

The InJoy Health Education Learning Portal is an interactive, Web-based tool that contains animated illustrations, videos, voice-overs, and games. It's great not only for first-time parents but is also useful as a refresher course for repeat parents.

Going Home Wearing an Orange Bracelet

orange bracelet

As part of Hartford HealthCare’s commitment to maternal health, all maternity patients are discharged wearing an orange bracelet that says “I GAVE BIRTH.” Patients are encouraged to wear the bracelet for the first eight weeks after delivery, when the risk for life-threatening complications is highest. This helps healthcare professionals recognize and properly assess symptoms.

Maternal Health Equity
Improving the lives of patients during the perinatal phase and eliminating disparities in maternal morbidity & mortality, by using an equity perspective, to support birthing individuals within & around Hartford HealthCare.
