Guidelines

Alliance Collaborative Members form the following teams and meet monthly to plan each annual conference

  • Call for Abstracts
  • Brochure Development
  • Abstract Review
  • Conference Ambiance
  • Poster Award Presentations

Uniqueness

Skill building sessions are incorporated into each conference:

  • Searching the Literature
  • Quantitative and Qualitative research methods
  • Outcomes research
  • Research Statistical methods
  • Applying RU evidence-based research into daily practice

Research conference topics are applicable to the daily practice of nursing from many different specialties.

Blends clinical expertise of nursing staff with the research expertise of faculty and promotes increased collaboration between clinical practice and academia.

Evaluations are obtained from all participants and reviewed by the Alliance members and this feedback is incorporated into plans for the next conference.

Safe place for beginning staff, students and researchers to present their findings.


Outcomes

  • Increased staff nurses’ interest and participation in the research process
  • The conferences have led to the growth of the Alliance membership
