What do you like to do in your free time? Hanging out with friends, visiting cute cafes (and indulging in all their sweets and drinks), watching dramas, baking.
What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? I completed my longitudinal APPE at HHC and instantly felt supported by the network of pharmacists at Hartford Hospital. It was immediately apparent to me that all of the pharmacists and preceptors were eager to learn from each other. Not only that, but many of the current pharmacists have either stayed on from their residency here, or came back even after doing a residency elsewhere. I knew I wanted to find an institution that would challenge me to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. As a large, academic, level-one trauma center, Hartford Hospital offered a wide range of elective opportunities and a diverse patient population.

What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? I was drawn to Hartford because of the large number of opportunities available. As one of the largest hospitals in the northeast, there are ample learning opportunities in multiple specialties for residents. Additionally, the residency program at Hartford Hospital is a big focus of the pharmacy department and staff are always welcoming and willing to help.

What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? I completed a longitudinal APPE here as a P4 student where I was able to see all the great things this institution had to offer prior to applying for residency. The preceptors I had met were very enthusiastic about teaching their area of specialty and took the time to ensure the students/residents understood medication therapies and the impact it has on patients. Not only are there 5 ICU rotations to choose from, but there are also an abundant amount of non-critical care rotations that offer a well-rounded curriculum. Although I knew I wanted to go into emergency medicine after, it was still important for me to find a program that offered these other rotations like pain management and ambulatory care to get the most out of this year. Additionally, Hartford Hospital offers a PGY2 in emergency medicine as well as additional specialties which shows this institution cares about furthering resident education.

What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? When researching residency programs, Hartford Hospital stood out to me because of the diverse clinical rotations available as well as the unique rotations including pain management and toxicology. I knew that being in a large academic medical center such as Hartford Hospital, where patients are transferred to rather than out of, was going to give me a wide range of experiences to get the most out of a PGY-1 residency year. After meeting the previous residents and preceptors at Mid-year, I knew that this program would prepare me to become a well-rounded pharmacist with the experience to pursue my future career goals.

What attracted you to Hartford Hospital? I was really impressed and interested in the variety of rotations that Hartford Hospital is able to provide. I was excited about some of the more unique rotations that I may have otherwise never had the opportunity to experience, such as pain management, solid organ transplant, and emergency medicine in a level 1 trauma center. Throughout showcases and interviews, all of the staff at Hartford Hospital were always super nice, and it was great to hear that most of them had completed their residency training here and then stayed on. Additionally, Hartford Hospital has a very strong ID program, and many different ambulatory care clinics available, which are both areas of interest for me. This program offers a PGY2 in both ID and ambulatory care, and the idea of possibly being able to complete a PGY2 within the system where I complete my PGY1 is something that was also very attractive to me.
