The LIFE STAR program at Hartford Hospital is disseminating information from new heights with its mobile application.
LIFE STAR launched a new mobile app for rescue crews – but it can also function as a tool, resource, and informative brochure intended for the general public and health care professionals in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
“We believe this tool will serve as a critical means for health care professionals by providing necessary up-to-the-minute, timely information and alert notifications,” said Kenneth Robinson, M.D., Program Director, LIFE STAR. “It is also a chance for the general public to connect with LIFE STAR.
The LIFE STAR app can be accessed through ITunes or Google Play. Users will need to log on to their individual account to download the LIFE STAR app.
The mobile application can be customized to meet specific needs of emergency medical personnel. By creating an account, pertinent information and tools are provided as it relates to the clinician and patient’s needs while optimizing fast and efficient access to LIFE STAR.
Access to this information has been designed to assist medical personnel by providing awareness and information that acts as a reference for how, why, and when a patient can benefit from LIFE STAR critical care air medical transport.
Additional safety tools and references also assist the user with the proper setup, safety, and operational requirements of an active air medical helicopter landing zone operation.
